Rule 9.4 adopts the guideline parenting schedule in Appendix K-1 unless a parent asks to deviate and files affidavits or evidence. The clerk forms page also links Local Rule 9.41, the long-distance companionship schedule, and Local Rule 9.42, the transitional schedule. This page does not summarize those two schedules. If schedules conflict, the plan's order is holidays, then extended periods, then weekends, then midweek days. Two weeks of uninterrupted parenting time comes before summer holidays.

Juvenile court for unmarried parents may use a different schedule.

Schedule by age or option

Birth to six months

Weekend
Alternate Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. The plan says the court will consider an overnight schedule as the child gets older.
Midweek
Tuesday afternoon and Thursday afternoon, not more than three hours each.
Holiday
Holiday chart below.
Summer
Each parent has two consecutive uninterrupted weeks. The nonresidential parent may also have half of summer vacation, two weeks of which may be consecutive. If they cannot agree, the nonresidential parent has the first half. Summer starts the day after school ends and continues until seven days before school begins.
Long distance
Local Rule 9.41 is a separate long-distance schedule. It is not summarized here.

Six months through 18 years

Weekend
Week A includes Friday from 6:00 p.m. until Sunday at 6:00 p.m.
Midweek

Holiday
Holiday chart below. Spring break every other year, and half of Christmas break every year, is with the nonresidential parent. The parent who has Easter has spring break that year. Those school breaks are not separate rows on the calendar below.

During summer, the nonresidential parent still has the regular weekday time, and alternating weekends continue except during the two uninterrupted weeks. Give written notice by February 15 for spring break, May 15 for summer, and November 1 for Christmas.
Long distance
